ukmChorus2
This is a 4stage chorus effect for VST(PC). You can use it on stereo and mono tracks (at least with Cubase SX, not all other hosts tested yet). The parameters of each of the four stages can be adjusted separately. The stages only differ in basic delay adjustment with the shortest left and the longest right in a range from about 10ms to 50ms. You can disable unused stages to reduce CPU consumption. A "Dry / Wet" slider allows to set the desired amount of effect and the "Out +/-" slider can be used to match the overall level of sound when comparing A / B with the source material. Further more the effect can be disabled with the "FX On / Off" button.
Though it may be kind of nonsens to make presets for a chorus since it depends on the source material what settings give the best results I have included a few to give you a starting point. The preset names include some abbreviations that should give you a hint with what configuration the effect was used:
- "s" means that the effect is used as an insert on a stereo track
- "m1ch" or "m2ch" means that it is used as an insert effect on mono 1 channel or mono 2 channel tracks
- "send" means it is used as a send effect (with effect set to fully wet)
If you use the ukmChorus2 as a send effect on a mono track set to fully wet you can achieve a pseudo stereo effect by panning the stages left/right a bit. When using ukmChorus2 on a stereo track you can also do some corrections to bad phase behavior of the original signal by panning the stages more towards the center. You will not get phase problems with this plugin when properly used.
